Staff and volunteers of the Textile Research Centre
The director of the Stichting Textile Research Centre (TRC) is Dr Gillian Vogelsang-Eastwood. She is a trained textile archaeologist and a specialist in Middle Eastern textiles and dress. Other staff include Ms Shelley Andrews, general volunteer, and especially helping with the library; Ms Marleen Audretsch, depot manager; Dr Anna Beerens, who specialises in Japanese dress; Ms. Liesbeth IJdo, general volunteer with a special interest in exhibition presentation; Ms Else van Laere, who helps with the (financial) administration and PR; Ms Tineke Moerkerk, general volunteer and helping with PR and the collection of Dutch regional dress; Mr Christopher Ng, general volunteer with a special interest in Southeast Asian dress; Ms Martine de Nijs, librarian; Ms Ireen Tiendalli, general assistant helping with collection management; and Ms Riet van de Velde, who is engaged in cataloguing and maintaining the Dutch collection. All are helped at regular intervals by Ms Angela Driessen-de Laat and a number of trainees and students from the Faculty of Archaeology and the Faculty of Humanities, Leiden University.
In addition, the work of the TRC is supported by a number of people who give specialist advice, or who undertake specific tasks, as for instance Mr Joost Kolkman, who maintains the TRC website.

JanuaryFebruaryEvery WedEvery Wednesday and Thursday, from 14.00-15.30 hrs: guided tour of the Embroidery exhibition. Fees: 7.50 euros. Advance registration not necessary.
On Saturday, 21 December, the TRC will be open to visitors from 10.00 - 16.00 hrs.
The TRC is closed for the Christmas holidays from Monday 23 December. The TRC will open again on Monday 6th January.
