The TRC is growing rapidly, both in size and in the quality of the collection, the library, the exhibitions, the number of workshops, and much more. All of this means that more financial support is highly desirable. And please bear in mind that all TRC activities are carried out by volunteers! In order to make it a little easier to make a donation (not that it is difficult of course!) we have prepared a list of various options:

A simple donation: Simply transfer an amount of your choice to our TRC account NL39 INGB 000 298 2359, in the name of the Textile Research Centre, Leiden (international donations will also need our BIC/SWIFT code: INGBNL2A). And, of course, there is always the actual donation box at the TRC – feel free to make a personal contribution knowing that it is going to a good cause. You can also use the IDEAL button and fill in the amount of money you want to donate.

TRC is a cultural ANBI: this point is of interest to people who are Dutch tax payers. The TRC is an officially recognised non-profit organisation (an ANBI under Dutch law), and since April 2012 the TRC is, on top of that, also recognised as an ANBI Cultural Organisation (Culturele Instelling, CI). This means that financial gifts are tax deductible for tax payers in The Netherlands. For individuals this is now as high as 125% of the donated sum; for firms the percentage is as high as 150%. In your annual returns, you only have to indicate the amount of your gift and to tick the box “Culturele ANBI”.
