Net

With respect to decorative needlework, a net is a mesh ground material made by interlacing threads using a machine, rather than being made by hand.

A number of different types of net have been produced since the mid-eighteenth century and until the present day. The most important and widely used forms are bobbinet; three-twist Brussels net; rascheltulle.
