'The Ladies Waldegrave' was painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792) in 1780. Now in the Scottish National Gallery, it shows the three daughters of the 2nd Earl Waldegrave (1715-1763) together working their embroidery. The painting, without the frame, measures 143 x 168.30 cm.

Lady Charlotte Maria (1761-1808) to the left holds a skein of silk. Lady Elizabeth Laura (1760-1816) in the middle winds the silk onto a card. Lady Anna Horatia (1762-1801; she married Vice-Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour), sitting to the right, works a tambour frame and uses a tambour hook.
