The Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA) is a society that started in New York in 1958 as a branch of the (British) Embroiderers' Guild. In 1970 the EGA withdrew from its London association and became independent.

The EGA’s headquarters, museum and resource centre are in Louisville, Kentucky. It is open to both amateur and professional embroiderers. The EGA organises national and international conferences, workshops and exhibitions, as well as publishing the quarterly magazine 'Needle Arts'. It also funds research and offers both individual and group classes on various techniques, including beading, Jacobean embroidery, metal thread embroidery, Princess lace, quilting, Schwalm embroidery and silk embroidery, in addition to programmes in appraising, judging and teaching embroidery.

In 2014 the EGA had 290 chapters in the US and Canada, with over 9,500 members.
