Embroidery stitches

The zig-zag chain stitch is a variation on a chain stitch, except that each loop is made at an angle to the last one in order to create a zig-zag line.

The zigzag coral stitch is made very much in the ame way as the coral stitch, but each stitch is worked diagonally across two parallel (guide) lines, creating a zigzag pattern with a knot at each end.

The zigzag stitch is a simple technique, which looks like a row of cross stitches separated by vertical stitches. First a line of vertical stitches and of one direction of the diagonal stitches is embroidered, from left to right; upon the return of the needle, and working from right to left, the opposing diagonal stitches are made.
